After many years teaching on the North Coast of NSW in the Byron Bay-Lismore area, Peter and Melissa sought jobs in the world of International education. In 1999 they moved, with their two daughters Sophie and Phoebe, to take up positions at the Taipei American School in Taiwan. Peter teaching in the Elementary, Middle and High schools and Melissa in the Elementary. After 7 years in Taiwan they then spent two years at Jakarta International School in Indonesia’s capital before moving on to teach for the next nine years at the world’s largest International School, the Singapore American School in Woodlands, Singapore. Peter and Melissa have enjoyed excellent and varied opportunities for continued professional development in their time abroad and have both attended and presented at numerous international education conferences, worked with a variety of cultures, and have been exposed to best practices in education and technology. They have also been fortunate to have held challenging leadership roles (Department Heads, Team Leaders, etc) in all 3 international schools in which they have worked. And now after 18 wonderful years of living and working abroad, Peter and Melissa are returning to live in Sydney to take up an opportunity to work with Robokids. They are excited to work with Aussie kids and bring their expertise to the Robokids classrooms.
