We have recently launched an outreach program which is sustainable and duplicable for the indigenous communities of Mount Austin High School and its feeder primary schools in Wagga Wagga. It is not a fly in and out feel good response.
We have written a 10 week term program which will be taught by x 5-6 Mount Austin High School teaching staff who are now trained in the robotics program.
This program will be delivered to talented STEM students identified by the principals from the local feeder primary schools who come on site to Mount Austin one day a week over a 10 week term. The students both boys and girls will have the opportunity to be involved in our innovative teaching practices facilitating the shift from a digital user to a digital creator. Students will then have the opportunity to prepare for a robotics competition in Sydney later in the year.
